This is a very interesting collaboration. Intel and Franck Sorbier partnered to produce a new type of fashion show as part of the creators project. In this show, there was no walk on the cat walk – with only one “physical” dress, the rest was projection mapping.
I’ve seen retailers start to experiment with this type of technology in retail design. This prototype for the shop windows (below) is interesting – clothes are dynamically changed and projected onto the mannequins. It’s exciting to think of all the new types of interactions that could happen between consumers and fashion brands as this technology becomes more mainstream.
